ABOUT USWe are based in the North Wales village of Llandegla near the Horse Shoe Pass which leads to Llangollen, home of the International Eisteddfod. Our Showroom and Workshop are easy to find on the A525 Wrexham to Ruthin road opposite ‘The Plough’ which is an all day food pub.DESIGN PROCESS & TIME SCALESWe can produce bespoke designs with detailed costing from basic dimensions or a builder’s plan. This gives you an accurate price to include in your building budget. The payment of a small deposit will give you an agreed fitting date in our schedule. We are happy to accommodate your requirements and to work to a more flexible time scale should your circumstances change. However, we aim to deliver furniture within 8 weeks and larger projects such as kitchens in 13 weeks. These time scales include the development and agreement of details. COSTOur costings are based on the materials and labour in a design. If a kitchen is made up of many small items it will cost more than the same volume made up of fewer but larger items. You may wish to refine the initial design or even change it completely but the cost would be similar to the original if the number of items remained the same.A door costs the same whatever the detail (with the exception of applied moulding) This policy allows us to price accurately without asking you to make all of the detailed decisions at the initial stage, giving you time to fully consider all the alternatives. PAYMENTSConfirming deposit £500Main deposit at start of manufacture. One third of main costs. Main payment on completion in workshop. Two thirds balance. Final payment on completion on site. Fitting cost and granite. The main and final payments would normally be made over a period of about six weeks. FITTING, PLUMBING & ELECTRICALWe fit all of the work that we manufacture and can work with your own builders, plumbers and electricians or alternatively we can arrange these for you. We usually start fitting on a Monday and expect to finish within one week, including granite.AGA’s & APPLIANCESWe are Aga approved agents with displays. We can supply any make of appliance at a discount. Most appliances are designed for fitting into lay-on systems where the door lays over the front of the carcase on sprung hinges. Some of these will not work with framed construction. We specify makes such as Neff that have the highest reliability rating (Which Magazine), are energy efficient, use up-to-date technologies and have hinging systems that work with framed construction. We try to compete with Internet prices while including installation within our costs. MATERIALSAll of the materials we use are kiln dried for internal applications. Painted work is framed in Poplar (tulipwood), the traditional timber for painted furniture. Decorative timbers such as oak, ash, maple, cherry and pine are carefully matched to achieve a balanced effect. Oak is available in a variety of specifications from quartered, through to plain, pippy, catspaw, light character and heavy character which has splits and knots.Drawers in all cases are dovetailed boxes made on the premises to the width and depth required. These have top quality full extension runners with a final spring close and are hidden beneath the drawer. Carcases are made of blockboard which has a solid wood core with oak or maple facings. These have applied front frames and 28mm thick doors for greater stability.
